Phyllis Landgraf, 59, of Silsbee, Texas passed away on December 25, 2023.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2023 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Silsbee, Texas. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee.

Phyllis was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 28, 1964. She was the daughter of Lester and Jean Landgraf of Silsbee.

Phyllis was a devoted worker at the Spindletop MHMR Workshop in Silsbee, 1980-2020. Phyllis was fortunate to be able to live with Christine Davis for several years to continue her work in Silsbee after her parents were unable to care for her. Some of her favorite jobs were janitorial duties at Farmer Funeral Home and Silsbee Little Theatre, as well as making and selling ceramics. Phyllis also loved volunteering at both Sunshine Resale Shop and St. Mark’s Catholic Church gift shop. Phyllis enjoyed dressing up for Halloween, dancing at parties, painting, and cooking. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Jean Landgraf; brothers- in- law, Kim Mote, Bryce Dixon, & Wally Sulak.

Those left to cherish her memory include her six siblings and their spouses, John Landgraf (Odessa), Marie Mote (Grapevine), Charley Landgraf (Etlan, VA), Pete Landgraf (Dallas), Fran Svrcek (Travis County), Betty Dixon Sulak (Plymouth, MI) and eight nephews, six nieces, and 24 grandnieces/ nephews. Each member of this large family were assured by Phyllis that they were her “Best”! Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Southeast Texas ARC, PO Box 115 Kirbyville, Texas 75956.
