Robert Forse

Robert “Bobby” Henry Forse was born May 8, 1943 in Call, TX and went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2024, in Beaumont, TX. Robert was a resident of Silsbee, Texas for the last 56 years. He was born on May 8, 1943 to Appalonia Ard and Elza Gordon Forse in Call, TX. Bobby loved to fish, hunt and do woodworking with his family. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp to serve his country. While in The Corp, he was a machine gunner and spent time in Japan, South Korea, and Cuba.

After leaving the Marine Corp, he worked as a machinist for 40 years until he retired at NL Shaffer, Keller Aluminum, and others. In February of 1968, he met the love of his life, Lois Groze of Kountze. They were married on April 27, 1968. Together, they had two children, a son, Bobby Allan and a daughter, Linda Ann. They raised them in Silsbee. He was a member of Genesis Baptist Church since 2016.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Appalonia Ard, his farther, Elza Forse, and his brothers, Arthur Gene, Leroy and Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois, son, Bobby Allan and wife Cherry, daughter, Linda Ann and husband, John Lieby, grandchildren, Craig Forse, Cory Lieby, and Casey Lieby, and great-grandchildren, Paisley and Phallan Forse.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to Genesis Baptist Church of Silsbee, Texas.
