Wendy Adams Dominguez, 55, of Roanoke, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, after a courageous two-year battle with stage four breast cancer.

Wendy was born on December 1, 1967, in Houston, Texas to Louis William Adams and Mary Stroube Adams.

She began her elementary education at Brook’s School in Concord, Massachusetts. Her family then moved to Temple, Texas where she attended Thornton Elementary, Bonham Middle School, and graduated from Temple High School in 1986. She then continued her education at Phillips Exeter Academy, Austin College, and Southern Methodist University.

Beaumont, Texas served as an exciting new beginning for Wendy, as it is where she started her career path at KFDM Channel 6 and met her soon to be husband Mark-Edward Dominguez, whom she married in 1998. After living in Beaumont and Grapevine, Wendy and Mark settled in Roanoke and made their forever home. During these years Wendy proved herself to be a gifted communications professional, working for various companies including The American Heart Association, GameStop, RadioShack, Samsung, and BNSF, but her true passions were theater and tennis. She had a deep love for musical theater and was an avid and accomplished tennis player, earning the nickname Ace Adams for her fierce and frequently untouchable serve.

Socially, Wendy had the ability to infuse energy into every room she entered and was well known for never letting facts get in the way of telling a captivating story to the delight of many of her friends. She made every person feel as if they were the most important person in the room, and her generosity of spirit touched many lives. Perhaps it is fair to say that Wendy’s strongest talent was making others feel good about themselves.

Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Stroube Adams; her mother-in-law Teresa Dominguez, and father-in-law Edward Cecilio Dominguez.

She is survived by her husband, Mark-Edward Dominguez; Mark’s sister Angela Dominguez and her husband Mike Barber; her father Louis William Adams, her brother William Adams, and sister Anne Adams.

Interment services will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 W Northwest Hwy in Dallas. A Celebration of Life reception will follow.
