Kountze Lion Chase Jones signs with Arkansas Tech -
The Kountze Lions baseball team is off to a good start this season. They defeated Hitchcock 6-1 on Feb. 19 and Evadale 12-1 last Thursday. They will host Tom Ball Friday, March 1. Thursday was an exciting day at Kountze High School as Chase Jones signed to play football at Arkansas Tech University.
Chase grew up in Kountze and has attended school in Kountze all of his life. He was an all district tackle both this year and last year, and this year was named All District Lineman of the Year.
