The Silsbee Tigers baseball team is off to a somewhat sluggish start. They opened their season with a 1-0 win over a very strong Nederland squad and then followed that with two losses and a tie. Logan Simmons was on the mound during the win over Nederland. He pitched 5.2 innings and struck out 12. He allowed only three hits in this game. Both teams played well in the field.
