The Silsbee Lady Tigers softball team dropped a pair of games by one sided scores 10-0 and 11-1. On Tuesday the Lady Tigers lost to LC-M by a 10-0 score.

The Kountze High School tennis team has had a great year this spring in their tennis tournaments, winning many medals every Friday. They also qualified for State Team Tennis which was played in Waco on March 10th and 11th. Then on March 27 and March 29 they competed in the 3A district tennis tournament and nine qualified for the regional tennis tournament. This is the first time in Kountze tennis history that they have won the Girls and Boys District Championships.

Sental Washington signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. The move offers him the opportunity to play baseball with his brother Dylan who is a freshman at Wiley.

The Lumberton Lady Raiders split a pair of games defeating Jasper by a 6-3 score on Friday and losing to Vidor by a 11-1 score on Tuesday. During the game with Vidor the Pirates had 11 runs on eight hits and one error.

The Lumberton High School boys golf team won the District 19-4A district championship and the Lumberton girls golf team placed second in the district. The top performers for the boys were Will Naas who placed first overall with back to back rounds of 80-80.

The Lumberton boys soccer team beat a tough Royal (Brookshire) team 1-0 in the Area round of the state playoffs on March 28 to advance to the Regional Quarterfinals. Andrew Hansen scored the only goal of the game.Last Friday,the Raiders defeated district 18 winner Hargrave (Huffman) by a score of 5-0 to advance to the Regional tournament in Katy, EasterWeekend.

Keelson Bruce of Evadale was selected as the Newcomer of the Year in District 25-2A. She is a freshman.

BY DANNY RENEAU Nick Woodland First Team OL Senior The Lumberton Raiders won the Championship of the Tiger Relays that were held in Silsbee on Thursday evening. The Raiders were able to garner the top team honors but Raydrian Baltrip of Silsbee managed to snag individual honors with some outstanding jumping.

The Silsbee Tigers split a pair of district games with Vidor this week. Silsbee won 5-1 on the Tigers home diamond on Tuesday and then they lost by a 4-0 score in Vidor on Friday.
