The City of Lumberton City counsel met Monday with a very light agenda. They approved the minutes of the January 9 meeting and approved an order to hold the Lumberton City Elections on May 6, 2023.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Silsbee police officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance that had transpired in a motor vehicle, while traveling down the roadway, within the incorporated city limits of Silsbee, Texas.

The Hardin County Commissioners Court met Tuesday, January 24 in a meeting that lasted about 45 minutes. They authorized the purchasing agent the opportunity to solicit bids for a bank depository contract.

Silsbee Firemen were called to the scene of this fire on Carrell Street in Silsbee on January 19. Fire Chief Robin Jones reported that someone was burning trash in the back yard and no one was watching.
