SHS baseball players get All District honors

The Silsbee Tigers Baseball team had several players selected for all district honors and honors from their own players and coach. Matsyn Morris, was selected by Coaches in District 19-4A as the Utility Player of the Year.

Kountze Lionettes lose in playoffs against Grandview

The Kountze Lionettes fell in a threegame series against the Grandview Lady Zebras in Madisonville. This game was part of the UIL State Semifinal tournament. Kountze started the series by winning the first game but would fall short in the last two giving the series to Grandview 2-1.

19-4A All-District baseball, softball players announced

19 4A All District baseball players have been announced. In the individual awards Silsbee sophomore Matsyn Morris won utility player of the year. Jaden Baker of Silsbee and Roman Ardoin of Lumberton, both of whom are seniors, received first team pitching honors.

College baseball pacts inked by Johnson, Dean

Tristin Dean and Jaden Johnson were honored at a signing in the Silsbee High School Auditorium on Wednesday, May 8. Dean signed to play baseball at Centenary College and Johnson signed a commitment to be a member of the US Marine Corps.

Tigers win Bi-District, ready to play for Area

The Silsbee Tigers are Bi-District champions after two hard fought wins against the Huffman Hargrave Falcons Saturday. Silsbee will advance to the area round by facing Carthage at Hudson High School, with the first game at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Tigers come from fourth place to win Bi-District

A Bi-District win by a fourth place team over a first place team in a three game playoff is almost unheard of. Silsbee finished fourth in the District 19-4A race and had to battle to the very last game to ensure themselves of the fourth place spot. Their reward was the opportunity to take on the champs from District 20-4A.
