Beaumont Art League plans reception for artist

BEAUMONT - The Beaumont Art League announces an Artist Reception for Xenia Fedorchenko, “Roving Perception, a Plein Air Exhibition” Saturday, January 13, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The reception and exhibition will be at the Beaumont Art League, 2675 Gulf Street in Beaumont. There will be complementary wine, punch, and light refreshments at the receptio Fedorchenko, originally from Moscow, Russia, joined the art faculty of Lamar University, in 2006 to teach printmaking and drawing. She received her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2006) and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts (2000).

A former student at Silsbee High School is making her parents and others proud as a student at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Arley-Beth Cravey, a 2022 graduate of SHS, has a 4.0 grade point average and is a cheerleader for the University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils.
