The Kountze Lions upped their district record to 3-2 with a crushing defeat of the Kirbyville Wildcats by a 82-33 score. The Lions are now near .500 in their overall record which stands at 11-12.

The Lumberton boys ran their record to 1213. They also upped their district record to 3-2 with a pair of wins over Little Cypress-Mauriceville and Bridge City.

The Kountze girls ran their record to 24-2 with an impressive 81-28 win over Kirbyville. Earlier in the week the Lady Lions defeated Anahuac by a 46-30 score.

The Evadale girls basketball record fell to 21-5 when they dropped a 47-21 decision to Big Sandy on Tuesday. The loss was the Rebels first district loss of the year and their record fell to 1-1.

The Evadale boys basketball team has been playing a powerhouse schedule this year. They saw their record fall to 9-16 last week when they played Bob Hope of Port Arthur and lost 51-48. They played a powerful Hardin Jefferson squad from the 4A ranks and lost to them by a 6740 score. Tuesday they played Lighthouse Home School in hopes of getting back on the winning track.

The Kountze Lady Lions have firmly entrenched themselves as one of the top teams in 3A in this area. They are off to a 22-2 start and are 5-0 in district play.
